Bath Is The Quintessential Small Town. Located In The Scenic Cohocton Valley, Bath Was Established As The Steuben County Seat iI 1796.
It is home to the longest continuously running county fair in the United States which showcases its agricultural history along with truck and tractor pulls, a parade, talent show, local foods and much more. It lies in the southern part of Finger Lakes wine country and is within an hour’s drive of two beautiful New York state parks; Keuka State Park and Watkins Glen State Park. Watkins Glen is nationally known for its NASCAR road course where many summer races are held.
Area attractions include the Bath National Cemetery and Museum, The First Presbyterian Church with one of the few sanctuaries in the US designed by Louis Comfort Tiffany showcasing Tiffany-stained glass windows. There is also the Glenn H. Curtiss Museum that will delight aviation and motorcycle history enthusiasts. Fans of wooden boats and the history of boating on the Finger Lakes will enjoy the Finger Lakes Boating Museum in nearby Hammondsport.
